Mag 7

Magpie Tales is a writing exercise begun for bloggers, poets, writers and the like by the illustrious Willow of Willow Manor. Each week she posts a photo and she and the rest of us are to write "something" . . . a poem, a vignette, or whatever based on the photo. This week is a bit different as we explore Magpie Tales 7.

"We all live in a yellow submarine,
a yellow submarine, a yellow submarine,
We all live in a yellow submarine,
a yellow submarine, a yellow subm . . ."

What’s that?

A daffodil?

Are you quite sure?

Hmmm.

Well.

Never mind, then.

I told you it was different. To see the other creations click here.

Joanny - Well, simple-minded anyway.

LOL, Darn now I'm going to have that song stuck in my head for awhile. Cute.

Catalyst:

Well that is probably why it appealed to me---- it is the catchy little ditties played on the radio that floats around in my mind all day .. ditto to Eric.
So I had to come back to tell you while I was driving it was stuck in little brain...like those catchy old tunes that you only remember the phrase and never the whole song..
Oh my..

Eric (and Joanny again) - Hahahahahaha! Gotya!

ha! I would rather live in a daffodil than a submarine ;)

Hey, we were thinking the same thoughts. Again! Are you psychic?

Vicki Lane said...

Oddly enough, that song came to my mind as well!

Nice spin on another yellow tune! At an American Rose National convention,a few years ago, one man came dressed in a yellow suit to our Dress as a Rose dinner; his rose, Mellow Yellow..I'm adding that to our yellow tunes emerging from the Daffodil...

Very creative. She how we all go in different directions? Now you are all singing 'Yellow' tune. blessings

I will singing that little song all day! I read Willow's earlier and had to laugh that you both were on the yellow submarine wavelength!

Catalyst said...

Pauline - Presumably a waterproof daffodil, right?

Willow - I think less psychic than conditioned by society!

Vicki - And quite obviously you were not alone!

Pat - "Mellow Yellow" would be stuck in my head . . and, now, may be!

QMM - "Oh, I think I'm going out of my head!" Hope that one doesn't stick!

She Writes - Many of us are stuck on that wavelength, it appears!

I must be the only one who does know the song.

Sing out, Angie!

Are you really sure??

Thank you for the happy yellow! Reviewing my recent posts, I note that they're all rather drab and sere. Time for something bright, like daffodils.

Catalyst said...

Jennifer - Well, pretty sure.

Granny J - Ah, you must thank Willow for that. A house down the street aways has a whole hillside of daffodils but I think they're in pots.

Daffodils are the perfect vessels for lady bugs.

LOL - that was great fun. Thanks for the smile!

Catalyst said...

spacedlaw - A good observation.

Bug - You're welcome!

Do you have daffodils in Arizona, Catalyst? Must admit I never saw the periscope thing before yourself and Willow went submarining!

Keep 'em guessing Cat

Submarine images twice in one week...I'm seeing daffodils in a totally new light!

Catalyst said...

Peter - Yes, there's a house down the street with a yard full of them. I must go take a photo. And I missed the periscope thing too. Just the color made me think of the Yellow Submarine (or unterseeboot, as Willow calls it!)

Little Hat - I think it kept me guessing as well!

Steviewren - Thank the Beatles!

Aw, thanks, Brian. I'm not sure whether it's more fun to scare people or make 'em laugh!
