Magpie 65

He gazes at the birds
In his hand.

He wonders.

What has nature wrought?

He thinks.

This is all that life means.

Birds . . .

In the hand.

Others.  At Magpie Tales

What if they poop?
Should I feed them?
Are they warm enough?
What do I do when they molt?

I could read that in a number of ways.
I think I'll take the funny version for now.

To me this is talking about our responsibility to the natural world - because after all it's what life really IS.

Whatever your intent ... you captured what St. Francis was all about ~ and did it quite well.

A beautiful write. The image has brought about some fine pieces, although I keep thinking the statue's missing a bit of bird poop!

Excellent theater of the absurd! Remember Beckett's Waiting for Godot, two men sitting on a park bench waiting for Godot (who never shows)?
"This is all that life means."
Brilliant take on this Magpie!
