PROMISES, PROMISES
We had clouds and lightning and wind and the temperature dropped to near 80 degrees and we got a few drops of rain. But that was all. Watching the weather radar, the storm moved in mightily from the east, then split and went south of us by a few blocks or miles or whatever. But here was our promise before all that.

You sound like the victim of a weather tease.
It's not nice to be spurned like that.
Out of town, but not out of touch. The jet stream has left Germany dry and hot for about 10 days now. We could use a few drops of water, but no complaints from me.
It's been like that here, too. All around us, but rarely over us. :(

I thought we were going to get missed yesterday too, but then we got walloped! A very nice rain. I wish I could send you some!
That is beautiful. Raining again here in Charleston as I type.
