COOLING OFF

High (for him) atop a wall in my back yard, a lizard rests in the shade, taking a bit of relief from the sun.

Here's a closer look.

As I watch him, he glares back.  The question becomes . . who's watching who?

I wonder, if lizards think . . what does he think of this huge human approaching him?

  1. He is probably thinking: "I wish I was a Gila Monster". But look between his eyes; there is not much brain space there for thinking.

  2. He's probably thinking, "So this is the cat who's got a SWMBO to keep him company and well fed, while I'll out here eating bugs!"

  3. I'd wait on that ledge for a very long time for one of SWMBO's omelettes.

  6. Maybe he's just wondering what 'human' and 'huge' mean.
