Days of wine and madras. One of my proteges, Bob Barclay, and I. Note the sunglasses atop heads. Note, also, that it is night outside. Two wild and crazy guys.
Wow, what loud sport coats. Madras jackets? That name seems to be a faint memory. The need for sunglasses at night is understandable. Did people actually wear these jackets in Madras, India? They couldn't have been named for the cowboy town of Madras, Oregon. If plaid comes back in fashion, they will be Chennai jackets, the new name of Madras.

ReplyDeleteThat is a throwback! Very funny.
ReplyDeleteYou wear madras well. I used to have a madras shirt with matching belt. It was a crazy time.
ReplyDeleteA couple of cool cats.
ReplyDeleteI too had a madras shirt, maybe '63, as I remember it would bleed colors when washed, on purpose.
ReplyDeleteYes bleeding madras... such a cool picture!
ReplyDeleteLove it! I had some sunglasses like that not too many years ago - they're classics, right?
ReplyDeleteClassic dime-stores.
