Every year, while cleaning the leaves, I say "next year we are going to hire someone" but then that's what I say the following year while cleaning up the leaves. Nice looking place you have there.
Your place looks great either way! I understand your neighbors concern. When we lived in the woods we let nature takes its course. I still hung up on the idea of a "handy man." Grab that rake laddie and go work up an appetite and or thirst!
Of course, you could have left them to carpet the ground with multicoloured beauty. They would have disappeared of their own accord......eventually.
ReplyDeleteThat was MY view. The boss disagreed.

Thanks, Judy. We were lucky to find it. (Except for those damned leaves!)
DeleteI was expecting pictures of you clean shaven.
ReplyDeleteNot until spring, Phil.
DeleteLeaves are a pain in the A**, though they look nice on the trees.
ReplyDeleteAgreed.
DeleteI had a neighbor so nuts he would catch them as they fell.
ReplyDeleteSWMBO just told me I need a long stick with a nail on the end so I can pick them up one by one!
DeleteI like the leaves on the ground better :)
ReplyDeleteI really like that house. And I'm sorry, I agree with the Bug. ;-)
ReplyDeleteBug and Susie - You're two gals after my heart.

ReplyDeleteI do not have to clean up the property to work up a thirst. That comes naturally!
DeleteI don't know why but its enormously satisfying watching someone else sweep up your leaves. I did it for years but never again...hopefully.
ReplyDeleteI totally agree, Stephen. I got spoiled when we lived in Phoenix and had a yard man.
DeleteThey sure know what to do... and are probably much faster than I was and still am...:-)
