I just had a somewhat unique event outside my den window. Two birds at the birdbath at the same time.
It is rare that two will share a drink. But these two finches had love on their minds and they chattered and touched beaks as I and a plaster cat added to the backyard looked on. Looks like the water is getting low. I'll have to refill the basin once again.
A little flirting going on? The photos on my site are photos not paintings. I manipulate the photos using photo editing software. I have dozens and dozens of photos I've done this to but, not usually with bright colors. I do enjoy doing it.
We had a bird bath for about a week. My husband bought it at the auction, and put it out front in his rock garden. Then the top fell off. Mysteriously. He accused my sweet dog of knocking it down. I think his big fat turkey tried to sit on the edge. I saw his chickens in there more than once, too.
Good for the birds.
ReplyDeleteLove is in the air. Nothing like a refreshing dip! :)
ReplyDeleteAnd I suspect the bees are up to something as well.

These two lovers need to get a room.
ReplyDeleteTennyson had a lot to say about this. Locksley Hall is just across the squire......
ReplyDeleteSweet! Maybe I should get a bird bath.
