FUN AT THE LIBRARY

In the lobby of the Prescott Valley Library is a wonderland of art objects. In previous posts, I've shown you the dragonfly and the bottlebrush tree. Today we wind it up with the true stars of the show.

If you use your imagination, you can almost see that big fish swimming under water.

But his neighbor, inching along, says there is no water.

Unless, of course, he's a sea snail, wearing his heart on his front.

  1. The are fun and whimsical. I guess he'd wear his heart on his sleeve, if he had a sleeve.

  2. So that is where they harken from. They visited my sleep one night after a particularly spicy meal, that was also heavy on butter and cream. I wonder if the snail avoids rich food induced heart burn by wearing his, or hers where it does?

  3. I actually wondered if that fish was underwater when I saw the picture. Of course, I once mistook a sewer vent for a Greek urn, so maybe that's not much of an endorsement for the designer.

  4. Will you do a post of the outside library bronze sculptures? Have you ever been to the Bronze Foundry on 2nd Ave.? They do tours.

  5. A sea shell, a sea snail... One can feel the envy of escape...
