I'M HERE, AND HERE, AND HERE!

A visit from a Mountain Jay.

And then, this morning, the Rufous Sided Towhee stopped in.

Oh, yes, it really is him.

They just keep coming in for drinks or baths.

As you can probably tell, they are holding my interest.

  1. You're becoming quite the bird twitcher Bruce! Some UK friends of ours described breaking the ice in the bird bath one cold winter and then 'the silly things all came and had a bath!' Evidently the need to drink and bathe defies any sense of cold for them.

  3. You are having such luck with standing water. I have the solar lily pad in mine for moving water in the bird bath and that has helped. Of course, mine isn't heated like yours!

    1. Mine hasn't been heated for months since I broke the light bulb by accident.

  4. The jay in the first picture is usually called a 'camp robber' in Montana.

  6. We love watching our bird bath too - they're so entertaining! Especially those occasional squirrel birds :)
