Along with the heat we've been experiencing there is still the drought in Arizona. As the t.v. guys keep saying "Much of the Southwest is a tinder box." Here are some pictures I shot recently in my area which illustrate the dry conditions.
So much of the south west and west are in a similar condition. We are appreciative of any moisture-fog, mist, drizzle, humidity and cool trends. Remember to hydrate yourself as well.

Looks pretty dry. We're expecting rain here in Portland and I wish I could send you some.
Wow! That looks seriously dangerous.
So scary! We've been a bit dry, but had a nice thunderstorm & some heavy rain overnight.
