Went through Ensenada several times in the late 70's and early 80's, on our way down Baja. Our destination was usually Mulege, then a small fishing village, in a rare tropical zone for Baja. What I remember best about Ensenada was the roadside tacos we got, goat I think, on our way.
You know, for as long as we lived in Mexico, I never got around to trying the goat but have always heard it is delicious. We used to go to a country barbecue place and I couldn't stop having the lechon (roast suckling pig).
I know how you feel. I took a trip to Guaymas back in the early 60s from Phoenix and while I remember Jack and Tom I can't remember many other details. Ensenada looks like a nice place to rest one's weary soul.
Good times! Yes, I did go to the centennial celebration. But mostly I try to stay away from the events these days. The crowds have become a bit too much or I've become a bit too old....or both.
A great setting to dine in.
ReplyDeletePina Coladas will effect the memory.
ReplyDeleteAha!
DeleteLooks like a great place to dine, with a view to die for. :)

DeletePerhaps the Pina's played with your memory.
ReplyDeleteLooks like paradise and a terrific spot to soak up sun and inexpensive drinks.
