CONFUSION

The Weather Gods seem as confused as we lowly citizens are.

Trees are changing colors and leaves are falling but we've had an upsurge in temperatures the past few days and it's supposed to be near 80 degrees today for the third consecutive day.

I'm not complaining.

It feels great.

It's a dry heat, you know.

We're having weird weather here too, last week we had two days where it hit 70,today is supposed to be 60. Way, way too warm for this time of year in the northern rockies.

And here we've had snow this morning.

I love the warmer weather. Is this Indian Summer? We are still working outside on screening in the porch, so this is perfect for us. I want to wear shorts and sandals as long as I can. Plus, I hear evil rumors that we are in for a very cold winter this year.

That's more color than we've seen. Our trees went straight to yellow-brown, and are dropping leaves like crazy. Too dry this year, I guess. We've been holding at 60s in the daytime, 40s at night.

It's been warm on the central coast as well. 71 now, between 4 and 5 P.
September and October are probably our favorite months here.

Cool tree, even if the temperatures aren't!
