A MAN

Martin Luther King Jr. was born on this date in 1929.

He was a man who knew how to draw a crowd.

He said:

"Every man must decide whether he will walk in the light of creative altruism or in the darkness of destructive selfishness."

He would have been 91 today.

  2. The bit about altruism reminds me of the discoverers (Banting and Best) of insulin therapy. They waited two years before getting a patent and only got one because,"When the details of the method of preparation are published, anyone would be free to prepare the extract, but no one could secure a profitable monopoly."

They were good men even if their idea didn't work.

  3. A man of honour and decency. The world needs more of him.

  5. Unfortunately, most of our current political leaders have chosen the destructive path.
