HUNGRY YET?

Y'know, if I'd have honored all the requests I received yesterday, both in comments here and in emails, I'd have had no cookies left for SWMBO and I.

So, I kept 'em all!

Thanks for the compliments, though.

And thank you to Herself, who encouraged the baking bonanza by preparing a wonderful meal the night before.

Enchiladas Verdes Suizas

and a salad of avocadoes, cherry tomatoes and cilantro.

As longtime ago Mexico residents we love cilantro and, no, it doesn't taste like soap.

What's the matter with you people anyway?

Your (Judy's) salads are always so interesting! Not what I would think of doing, but looks amazing! I'll have to start living on the wild side! LOVE cilantro!

I love cilantro! I keep trying to grow it but it goes to seed so fast!

My wife has a great recipe for rhubarb salsa that uses cilantro.
We have a single rhubarb plant that keeps giving and giving!

LOVE cilantro! The more cilantro and chunky red onions in a salsa, the better. :)

When we used to go to Casa Jimenez, I always requested no cilantro. It stings my tongue. But load up the avocado!

I could go for an enchilada, but I'll leave the cilantro for you. Because I'm a giver like that. A giver of things that aren't even mine to give.

I'm afraid I don't love cilantro. :(

There's a fascinating controversy over whether one's reaction to cilantro is due to genetic makeup or due to past experiences tasting it. Evidently it does have a chemical in it that's also in some types of soap. Neurogastronomists are studying the nature-nurture question. I think cilantro is great, but my husband says he can't taste it at all, which is lucky since I use it often. I have definitely made salad with those ingredients.

LOL!

I've read that the whole soap/cilantro thing is genetic. Apparently there really are people who, because of their taste buds, think it tastes like soap. Fortunately I am not one of them! Wanna mail me some salad?
