Look good?
Better enjoy it because tomorrow is Ash Wednesday, the beginning of Lent.
That means no more fatty foods until Easter, which doesn't arrive until April 17th.
So enjoy that big ol' cheeseburger today.
The next one is a long way off.
That is, if you're religious.
Or Paczki donuts if you are in Detroit! This is a big bakery day in Michigan.
ReplyDeleteI miss the Mardi Gras goodies!
ReplyDeleteWe are having pancakes for dinner tonight and then cake for dessert! And maybe a few pieces of candy - it is a long time until Easter.
ReplyDeleteI'm not religious, so no worries for me.
ReplyDeleteI did indulge in pancakes today.
That makes me want to order a burger at the casino.
ReplyDeleteNo worries here because no more Lent for me.
ReplyDeleteNot religious but I have a faith :) But not giving up anything for Lent. Never really understood what that was all about. Maybe we should give up permanently things like greed, pride, arrogance and the like :)

I'm not supposed to eat fatty foods all the time, so my years are supposed to be one big, long, Lent. At least until I lose 40 pounds. If I decided to really work at that I could do it in just one year, then celebrate with a big burger, but that's not going to happen.
ReplyDeleteI'm not religious but several years ago I gave up obligations!
ReplyDeleteNot a problem for me. I'll have a burger whenever I want.
ReplyDeleteFortunately, I am not religious. I checked all that stuff out and found nothing to believe in apart from burgers.
ReplyDeleteWhich I'm not, fortunately!
