WHAT A DAY!

It's another day to put out the flag here in the United States of America.

But that's not all.

It's a double birthday day.

So send good wishes to my longtime pal, Baseball Steve.

But also to someone I grew up with in North Dakota.

Say hello also to Sensational Sharon!

I have a soft spot for her because she married the son of a small town doctor who saved my life when I was 12 years old.

So happy birthdays, you two!

And happy Flag Day!

Happy Flag Day to you and good birthday wishes to your friends!

Sharon is beautiful and has a panache that I lack. I don't have a flag to put out so I usually forget about this holiday.

It commemorates the adoption of the first U.S.A. flag on June 14, 1777.

I received an email pic of me this AM from brother Jerry. I wondered many things but how did I not know about Doc saving his life so called him. I see now how I missed this since I didn't open your flag. You were "responsible" for this. Am wondering how he saved your life but wonderful that he did!! He was an amazing doctor and you were able to go on to become an amazing guy with a great career from Stanley!! Thank you!!

I suffered a ruptured appendix and Dr. M.G. Flath took me to the nearest hospital, in Powers Lake, where I was slammed into surgery immediately and your father-in-law did the successful operation. Close call for me.
