HEY!
It's Cinco de Mayo!
And you know what that means.
Well, that's in the United States of America.
Meantime, in Mexico, here's how the day is marked.
You see, Americans have it all wrong.
While the 5th of May does commemorate the day the Mexican Army defeated the French at the Battle of Puebla, the French regrouped and later conquered Mexico.
So Mexicans in Mexico don't really celebrate Cinco de Mayo much.
Their big day of festivities comes on September 16th when they celebrate Mexican Independence Day.
Just so you know.
Meanwhile, speaking of celebrating . . .
Well, I'm afraid that's it for another week.
Now you have to get serious about having a sensational weekend full of roisterous revelry.
And always remember to keep laughing!
Here, kitty-kitty . . .
LOL...that kitten definition is priceless.
ReplyDeleteThat tape one made me wince--it happens to me with Scotch tape AND with those lint rollers. Argghhh! Never understood the fuss over Cinco de mayo. I stay home where it's quiet except for Mari's purring.
ReplyDeleteLove the kitten definition and the tape from hell. Thanks for the laughs.
ReplyDelete'MEASURE TWICE' - my dad would have loved that hanging over his workbench!
ReplyDeleteGary sucks!
ReplyDeleteThat kitten definition is perfect.
I love the job interview.
ReplyDeleteWe had such good laughs at these. Thank you for brightening our day with such good humor!
ReplyDeleteOh these were great. LOVED the IT interview and, of course, Kirk and Spock! Have a great week everyone!
ReplyDeleteAndy and I both laughed out loud at the donating a quarter. That was brilliant. 👍
ReplyDelete---Cheerful Monk
Donated a quarter! Ha Ha.
ReplyDeleteHow did Star Trek become the go-to show for internet memes? Is it because meme-creating nerds are also more likely to be Trekkies?
ReplyDeleteI don't know but they just keep turning up.
DeleteThat direct deposit one is the TRUTH.
