I don't have any family members who lost their lives in war, but when they signed up for service, they didn't know whether they would or not. Very brave to go into that unknown.
I loved the Memorial Day parade in my hometown. Lots of bands and horses and the locals in their uniforms. It ended at the Mt. Avon cemetary with 21 gun salutes and taps at the statue of the unknown solider.

I salute all brave Americans who gave their lives lives for their country and for the cause of freedom.
ReplyDeleteOf course this does not include D.J.Trump who in a cowardly manner dodged the draft during the Vietnam War.

ReplyDeletethecontemplativecat here. God bless those young men and women who defend America. No politics in this subject.
