This past weekend was the time for not only the Fall Harvest Festival I told you about yesterday.
It was also when a Pony Only show was held just a short distance away.
For those of you not in the know, a Pony Only Show is where owners of the Ford Mustang automobile get to strut their stuff.
You're probably thinking "Are they all red?"
And though it is a popular hue, the answer is "no".
They come in all colors.
This "pretty in pink" model even had a "pony" posing under the hood!
The owner of this Shelby Mustang doesn't want his hood stolen.
Notice that heavy chain holding onto it?
Speaking of hoods . . . the promoters of this show encouraged Mustang owners to bring their cars in no matter the condition.
They said whether it runs or not, needs to be towed, hauled on a trailer, is in process of being restored or not . . whatever the condition, bring it in.
One owner apparently took that invitation seriously.

Gotta be a car guy! My first car was a 1968 white Mustang with light blue interior. Loved that car!
John's son-in-law is very into Mustangs and has a Shelby; before that he had a Bullitt (Steve McQueen); his dad and he are car guys. My cousin and her husband love Mustangs too and are in a club. I don't understand the love for them; I'm more of a Camaro gal.
Taillight pattern on the old ponies was distinct.
But you're from Michigan! Of course!
I always preferred the Chevvy Impalas.
Yes, it was, Red.
My husband is a motorhead. He kept two Camaros for a long time. I drove one, and never again. It was too much 'horse' for me.
I'm afraid I'll stick with my 2002 Highlander.
They are beautiful cars and I love the little pink pony. The chained hood is a good idea, you really DON'T want someone walking away with your hood.
The Supernatural car! If you haven't seen the show you won't know what I mean. Dean and Sam Winchester drive the Chevvy Impala left to Dean by their dad.
My Aunt owned two of them, a 64.5 and about 1970. I have fond memories of riding in them.
I imagine the Mustangs in poor condition can connect with folks who can give them advice on who can fix their car or how to find parts...
I always like the notch-back ones the best. These new Mustang SUVs look terrible. The pony on them is the only thing that says Mustang.
