After a couple of snowstorms earlier this month, Spring is finally here.
At least for the moment.
As I'm writing this in the very early afternoon, the temperature is hovering at about 68 (F)/20 (C) with the sun shining in an incredibly blue sky.
It's supposed to reach 82 by Tuesday.
We'll see.
But meanwhile the warmer weather has caused the ornamental fruit trees to do their thing.
And, as always this time of year, I can't be prevented from imposing sharing this brief bit of old Burma Shave doggerel.
Brace yourselves.
Spring has sprung
The grass has riz
Where last year's
careless drivers is!
Happy Springtime, everyone!
I loved those Burma Shave commercials.
ReplyDeleteNo road trip was complete without 'em.
DeleteBurma Shave was classic!
ReplyDeleteThe blossoms are sweet to see. Still a few weeks away here, except for the cursed Bradford pears. They are in bloom everywhere and continue to spread like a bad disease.
I was unaware of those. We have the white ones but they must be a different species.
DeleteI do love the blooming trees this time of year. 68 is a perfect temperature in my opinion. Low 80s are fine. Anything above 85, nope.
ReplyDeleteIt's forecast to go to 79 here today. We have the house open.
DeleteI liked the old Burma shaves!
ReplyDeleteSo did I.
DeleteBeautiful blossoms.
ReplyDeleteThey are, though the pink ones don't show up as well in my photos.
DeleteI guess that the spring weather makes you feel like casting off all your clothes and frolicking in the fields of Arizona like a new born lamb.
ReplyDeleteAt least going out at night with a bottle of Tequila and howling at the moon.
DeleteThe landscape is bursting into bloom.
ReplyDeleteYes, indeedy. Cherry blossoms where you live.
DeleteWow! Those trees are glorious!
ReplyDeleteAs I told River, they all appear white in my photos but about half of them are brilliantly pink in reality.
DeleteIt is so lovely to see spring blooming there and that blue blue sky. (NewRobin13)
ReplyDeleteYes, I love the blue sky which brings warmer temperatures.
DeleteMy favorite Burma Shave sign is:
ReplyDeleteGuardian angels
when you drive
usually retire
at 65.
