That is hilarious! Obviously neither Mr.Welk nor the clean cut duo had any idea that one toke was referring to mary jane!! Wow, that is very odd.
I'm still not sure it's real!
I cannot watch Lawarence Welk withouth having flashbacks. We have to watch it everytime we spent the night at my grandparents. There was something wrong with those folks. I did like bubble machine though.Ugh, I just got chills.
I have a photo of Welk holding my son when he was about 3 years old. (My son, not Welk)
