Hot and cool

It is 4 o'clock in the afternoon and 96 degrees Fahrenheit where I live. Don't tell me about Phoenix or how low the humidity is here. That's still just too damned hot.

So I went in search of some photos that might make me at least feel cooler.

The next two are shot over a fence at Mountain Valley Splash, the local public swimming pool.

There! I don't know about you but I feel cooler!

  1. Oh, it's hot in my neck of the woods and very humid. I'm soooo ready for fall.

  2. Wouldn't a nice, icy gin & tonic do the trick?

  3. We got up to mid 80's and I was sweating.

  4. Been well in the upper 90's with a nice free soaking of humidity when you walk outside (breathing is optional and may require gills.)

I don't know how you didn't just jump the fence and run into the pool! That seemed almost cruel to look but not touch!

  5. Willow - Yes, we have lived in humid climates before but find we just can't handle them in our "old age."

Julie - That would only be a temporary solution because after one I'd want another . . and another. And sleeping in the gutter seems to defeat the whole purpose.

Steve - Man, the mid 80's sounds like a cold wave right now!

M.I. - Yup, can't handle the humidity anymore. I think the pool was closed except for some kind of swimming team. Now THAT'S cruel!
