Lunch

A few . . oh, that's a lie . . . it was more like 15 years ago, I had my first tuna melt sandwich. I liked it but I don't think I'd ever had another one. Until today. I stopped at a Subway sandwich shop with tuna melt on my mind. They don't have one on the menu but I asked if they could make one and the guy said "sure!"

So I ordered tuna salad on Italian bread topped with pepper cheese. That went into a toaster oven for a minute or so. I had them top it with some chopped black olives, chopped green bell peppers, and chopped red onion. Topped it off with a splash of vinegar and oil dressing. And it was pretty darned good. SWMBO was amazed.

  4. The only thing they did not on their menu was toast the sandwich but it turned out well.

  5. Living in the Philadelphia area, there is a love hate relationship with Subway here. We do not consider Subway sandwiches to be subs. They are just a sandwich shop. Want a real sub, gotta go to a sub shop.

Funny how folks down south think that Subway makes subs.

Now Capriotti's, them there are some SUBS! http://www.capriottis.com/Locations.html

Use to be just in this area, but they have branched out west to show you folks how to make a sub. lol. My aunt use to have them prep the subs so she could fly them home to Atlanta and assemble at home. lol.
