SEEKING THE SUN

Blackwell always find the sunbeam.

And the Arizona Diamondbacks face the 2016 season with a sunnier outlook, thanks to their new pitching ace.

216.5 million dollars brought Mr. Greinke to Arizona from the Los Angeles Dodgers for six years.

Now we'll see what happens.

In my humble opinion, it's hard to justify that much money going to someone playing a game.

Lord, almighty. Let's imagine that Zack has a superhuman six years, in which he starts 30 games a year, manages to throw an astronomical 120 pitches per game. That totals, I believe, 21,600 throws over six years.

Divide $216,500,000 by 21,600.....and we see that the man is making slightly more than $10,000 per pitch.

Hopefully no one will tell Zack that; he might think he get's paid per pitch....there'd be a lot of 3-2 counts.

Should Blackwell be named Brightwell?

216 Million dollars to play a game - that ought to make the lad of sunny disposition.

How nice for Arizona. On the other hand, the Braves are just sinking lower & lower. Sigh.
