I tried a new recipe today, courtesy of Dorie Greenspan.
She calls it Cheesy, Herby Quick Bread.
I think I'd call mine Cheesy Shallot Quick Bread.
As she noted, the recipe is highly adaptable and adapt I did.
Rather than herbs or nuts, as in hers, mine had minced shallot and a dash or two or three each of Everything Bagle Spice and Cayenne Pepper.
It's good.
looks excellent. You and SWIMBO need a resident taster, just to be careful. I'm putting my hat in the ring.

DeleteLooks good!
ReplyDeleteLooks fantastic! Instead of spending 43 Billion on Twitter, Elon should invest his money into figuring how to transport (teleport) great food items to your readers, eh?
ReplyDeleteAll my favorites! What kind of cheese did you use? (not that it matter since I love nearly all of them)
ReplyDeleteA shredded Mexican blend and some sharp Cheddar and some that may have been more of the cheddar but I wasn't sure.
DeleteDo you have moderation on? The commenting deal is weird right now.
ReplyDeleteNope.
DeleteI love a quick bread! Haven't had one in years. My aunt made a great quick pumpkin bread that would be slathered with cream cheese. I don't know how you two don't weigh 500 lbs. It's a mystery!
ReplyDeleteLike the French and their red wine: it's a paradox.
DeleteOr Sophia Loren and her pasta!
DeleteYou bake the most delicious looking cakes and breads. Yum!
ReplyDeleteAnd Google loves you again!
DeleteGoogle likes me a little bit. I still have to log in every time I comment. LOL!
DeleteLooks delicious. I'd go with the herbs and use garlic instead of nuts.
ReplyDeleteThat looks amazing!
ReplyDeleteI would prefer the herb and garlic version myself.
ReplyDeleteWell, now, I wonder what would happen if you added some chopped chilis, onion, and a few dashes of taco seasoning?
