My cousin, Bonnie, called this morning to let me know that her mother had passed away peacefully in her sleep.
Almost 8 months ago, my Aunt Lil had celebrated her 100th birthday.
She had a long life in Montana and she raised some great "kids".
Nine years ago she and some of those offspring surprised me with a visit here in Arizona.
This is a picture taken on that day when Lil was merely 91.
She was always fun.
R.I.P. Lillian Mantei Hylland.
She won't have had an easy life, at the time she was raised..but she looks a pleasant happy woman xx
ReplyDeleteShe is a beautiful lady! We all need fun relatives in our lives. May she rest in peace.
ReplyDeleteShe made a difference to many people, I am sure. The photo is so sweet.
DeleteWow! I wish I looked that good! It sounds as if she had a great life.
ReplyDeleteI remember when she turned 100. That's amazing in itself. I had a group of older women in my life growing up. Only one left and she is in her 90's. End of an era.
ReplyDeleteI'm very sorry.
ReplyDeleteShe looks like she was quite a lovely woman. I love that she lived to 100. May her memory be for a blessing.
ReplyDeleteThe air must be good in Montana. She had a long life. R.I.P.
ReplyDeleteMy condolences to her family. She looked like a happy woman.
ReplyDeleteSorry for your loss. Even after someone has lived so long it feels bad to lose them. My Dad died after just turning 100 and it still hurt badly.
ReplyDeleteThank you for the very nice blog, Bruce. Also thank you to the people who made such nice comments. Bonnie Z
ReplyDeleteOur sympathy to you. She looked like a vibrant woman and led a long life.
