BEHOLD!

Mundane, ordinary life can offer up some nice images when one is retired.

I was giving SWMBO a break from struggling with her jigsaw puzzle to read her a blog post a little while ago.

She had turned and was looking past me and when I was done she said "I've got a picture for you."

She said, "Take a look out the front door and see the shadow on the wall cast by our wind chime."

So I did and I took a picture and here it is.

Curiously the wind chime is in the form of a sun face so the shadow is caused by the sun shining through the sun face.

Sun squared.

Or something.

Oh, forget it, just enjoy the picture.

Look for the shadows in *your* surroundings.

And don't take THIS advice, sent to me this morning by the BAD (Beautiful Artistic Daughter).

We have so many stained glass hangings that a rainbow is always somewhere. Always seems like leprachaun magic. Not worth my energy to argue politics or religion. I have no need to change someone's mind. I did hear that over Thanksgiving one brother in law had Fox News on 24/7 throughout the holiday and another brother in law about throttled him.

That is a great capture. We have prisms dancing around in here in the mornings, so magical.
I do my best to avoid political or religious discussions. Just not worth the time and upset.

So sad that those things happen.

I totally agree.

My sister is a Trump fan, she's all for tearing down the Deep State, etc. I don't argue, I don't avoid her. We just talk about other things.

Good for Judy, and you, about the picture.

Nah, just hilarious.

Well, I'm picky. we should discuss issues and not argue about politics.

A friend of mine broke up a long relationship with a person who could not abandon his ultra-right beliefs or listen to anything that challenged them. The friend is much better off now.

Smiley face sun! I don't argue on the internet over politics although I've come close on a couple occasions.

In another time yes. Issues are not even discussed, its all about the candidate themself. Dee

That's a lovely photo and like Val I think it would make a great jigsaw.

We have a number of shadows of a similar ilk to yours in our home. Always a magical experience. I find that there is little or no point in arguing about anything. Few people wish to learn of other ways of viewing life's issues. For them to change their views would seem to be an unacceptable attack on their egos. (As if that is really important!!)

Well spotted SWMBO!

Yeah, me too but I try to prevent it.

Thanks but Val is a troublemaker. 😄

I was thinking of your comment re rhoticity and how most US tv and radio people seem to talk something very close to Canadian. I'm also guessing that you being from North Dakota, there isn't much difference.
