THE FUTURE?

SWMBO, aka Judy, my spouse, goes to a hospital in a couple of hours to have a knee transplant.

She's been dealing with pain and struggling with a rollator (that's a 4-wheeled-walker) for months now.

She is definitely ready and hoping to be able to walk without that machine in the future.

I have a vision of how she'll be once the knee is replaced and the surgery healed and the post-surgery physical therapy is in her rear view mirror.

Well, okay, that may be a bit much to expect.

But, wish her luck!

On a slightly calmer front, I was down to the duck pond (Urban Lakes) a few days ago and found that the ducks had NOT abandoned us.

They may have been hiding in plain sight when I was there before, clustering in the shade by the shoreline.

Ducks or not, the lakes are a peaceful place to go to escape the trauma in our world.

Stay safe and stay sane, my friends.

Wishing her well, of course. If she does get to dance like that, it'll be ....... oh don't let's consider the consequences.

Good luck to Judy. If she comes out a knee replacement dancing around like that, well, Catalyst, you'll have your work cut out for you trying to keep up with her!

I'll be thinking about Judy! John had a knee replacement and walks well with no limp whatsoever. I love that reflection photo; it's so tranquil.

Our best wished for Judy and especially for her surgeon.

Please, tell Judy that, when it comes to PT, getting her leg straight is just as important as getting it to bend. I didn't do that and my posture is permanently affected.

You're going to have a hard time keeping up when the knee replacement has SWMBO dancing like that video.

Best wishes to Judy, I hope it all went well. I had a half knee replacement about 12 years ago...best thing I ever did. Make sure she does her post op exercises!!

Best wishes for Judy and a prompt recovery. I have a couple of friends who went through the same kind of operation and they are fine now even if they said the beginning of the recovery and the therapy are not an easy thing to go through.
