SWMBO, aka Judy, my spouse, goes to a hospital in a couple of hours to have a knee transplant.
She's been dealing with pain and struggling with a rollator (that's a 4-wheeled-walker) for months now.
She is definitely ready and hoping to be able to walk without that machine in the future.
I have a vision of how she'll be once the knee is replaced and the surgery healed and the post-surgery physical therapy is in her rear view mirror.
Well, okay, that may be a bit much to expect.
But, wish her luck!
On a slightly calmer front, I was down to the duck pond (Urban Lakes) a few days ago and found that the ducks had NOT abandoned us.
They may have been hiding in plain sight when I was there before, clustering in the shade by the shoreline.
Ducks or not, the lakes are a peaceful place to go to escape the trauma in our world.
Stay safe and stay sane, my friends.
Wishing her well, of course. If she does get to dance like that, it'll be ....... oh don't let's consider the consequences.
ReplyDeleteSending good wishes to Judy for an easy knee transplant surgery and a fine recovery. I'm hoping for lots of good dancing times ahead. (NewRobin13)
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you still have your ducks! My best to Judy as she gets that knee taken care of.
ReplyDeleteGood luck to Judy and I wish here a quick rehab so she can be dancing like that.
ReplyDeleteGlad the ducks haven't abandoned you!
Good luck to Judy. If she comes out a knee replacement dancing around like that, well, Catalyst, you'll have your work cut out for you trying to keep up with her!
ReplyDeleteI'll be thinking about Judy! John had a knee replacement and walks well with no limp whatsoever. I love that reflection photo; it's so tranquil.
ReplyDeleteSending good healing vibes to Judy xx
ReplyDeleteOur best wished for Judy and especially for her surgeon.
ReplyDeletePlease, tell Judy that, when it comes to PT, getting her leg straight is just as important as getting it to bend. I didn't do that and my posture is permanently affected.

ReplyDeleteYou're going to have a hard time keeping up when the knee replacement has SWMBO dancing like that video.
ReplyDeleteBest of luck to Judy. Tell her it is so important to do the PT as it makes all the difference with healing.
ReplyDeleteWishing Judy, and you, well!
ReplyDeleteLove and best wishes to both of you! Lori
ReplyDeleteI wish Judy a very successful surgery and a rapid recovery.
ReplyDeleteGood luck to SWMBO (I hope it went well already).
ReplyDeleteI hope the surgery and recovery are both speedy and trouble free.
ReplyDeleteThe lake is beautiful.
Best wishes to Judy, I hope it all went well. I had a half knee replacement about 12 years ago...best thing I ever did. Make sure she does her post op exercises!!
ReplyDeleteMy husband had both of his done 7 years ago - he highly recommends it.
ReplyDeleteSending healing intentions to Judy 🥰
ReplyDeleteThose lake views appeal to me.
ReplyDeleteBest wishes for Judy and a prompt recovery. I have a couple of friends who went through the same kind of operation and they are fine now even if they said the beginning of the recovery and the therapy are not an easy thing to go through.
