Mike - My only previous experience with Halloween parties of this magnitude was in Austin, Texas. They close off a main street for several blocks and the costumed people promenade up and down under careful police protection. But I think the costumes I saw in Prescott topped Austin's.
Skcollob - Thanks for stopping by. I see you are just getting started in this crazy game. Have fun!
Very unusual characters there! Henri is currently staying with me, & we are intrigued with the roots of this 'festival'. Celtic I believe, but we Southern dwellers do not observe the occasion. We used to mark Guy Fawkes on 5th November, ... too long to explain. It is on Google...
Meggie - Wikipedia says Halloween does indeed derive from the Celtic festival Samhain. But the article also says it is sometimes celebrated in Australia and New Zealand! Best begin working on your costumes for next year!
That looks like a serious party there Catalyst.
ReplyDeleteWe went to a bar on Friday night for a bite to eat and they were having a Halloween party there. No one looked as good as these people do.
Haha! Excellent costumes!
