IN AND AROUND

On our recent visit to "the Valley" we visited one of my favorite places - the Phoenix Art Museum.  I told you about the Hollywood Costumes exhibit last Saturday.

Here are some other photos I took in and around the museum.

  1. Great pictures. I especially like the Buddha. His hands are in the same position as the Buddha we brought home from Cambodia. The one hand is palm up to signify heaven while the other points down to symbolize the earth.

  2. I like number 3 which reminds me slightly of Allan Houser.

    1. It's called La Puerta y la ventana (the door and the window). The artist is Francisco Zuniga, a Mexican born in Costa Rica, 1912-1988. It is set into the outside wall at the front of the museum.
