BOXING, KICKING, KICK BOXING

You've probably asked yourself, "Self, do kangaroos actually box?"

Today, self can reply, "Yes.  They do."

Witness this bout filmed recently on an ordinary suburban Australian street.

More than one of my neighbors has told me about the wildlife they've seen running down the street in the early morning.

But never anything like this.

That's amazing. I guess this is the way they protect and defend themselves. I thought they had to be trained to box.

Looked like Fraiser and Ali, one of them kept his 'hands' down much of the time.

ABC News had the kangaroos on tonight. So you old reporter, you scooped the national news.
Even though it is Australia, that doesn't look like Queensbury Rules.
By the way, the yellow wildflower around town is Desert Marigold.

As pugilists they were fun to watch!
We have wild turkey, deer, bobcats, skunks, raccoons, brown fox, and a cougar on our ridge. Bear are a couple of miles away and we have several raptors-hawk and owl in our trees. But no boxing 'roos.
