Of course, accompanying the change of color is the tremulous nature. The slightest breeze sends dozens of those pretty red leaves to the ground.
They will have to be picked up and put in trash bags by someone.
Meantime, in the back yard, the redbud tree that provided welcome shade to my den window and a leafy abode for birds has lost most of its foliage and is looking more and more bare and bereft.
Autumn truly is the season of change.
That is surprising that SWMBO hasn't raked those leaves yet. Maybe a good storm will blow them into your neighbor's yard.
ReplyDeleteI had two red maples in the front of the house I was asked to leave...I miss the house, miss the trees, I don't miss the asker.
ReplyDeleteAnd, snow will follow eh? I think that is why fall is such a melancholy season, at least to this Californian, with Indiana roots. Looks like you could handle those leaves in an hour.
ReplyDeleteIt won't be long before tiny emerald buds will appear on these trees, and the cycle will begin anew.
ReplyDeleteNo maples here, but lots of downed leaves.
ReplyDeleteImagine yourself without any trees...
ReplyDeleteLooks like autumn has been pretty aggressive up in your neck of the woods.
