Prescott Valley, Ariona.
My driveway.
Brace yourselves.
That's the moon being eclipsed.
A little later.
Turning bloody.
By 7 a.m. as the sky was beginning to lighten it was totally eclipsed, just a rosy orb heading for the horizon.
It was much more impressive with the naked eye.
I woke up in the night with the moon shining through my window. It must have been before the eclipse got underway here.
ReplyDeleteCool. I tried to see it, but we had scattered clouds letting the moon peek through at 6:15. I was hoping to see the red portion at least. I think it was below the horizon for us at totality. Didn't matter anyway. Clouds. And daylight.
ReplyDeleteIt was pretty cool. Huge moon tonight, too. Up early and had an owl outside the window hoot - hoot - hooting for a long time. Something about the moon bringing out the wild side!
ReplyDeleteI saw it from my balcony yesterday morning. I tried to photograph it but, not being entirely prepared, I don't think I got much. It was fun to look at though.
ReplyDeleteYou can definitely see the blood effect in the second shot. I totally forgot to look, myself! I'm not sure how much eclipse/blood we got here, if any.
ReplyDeleteVery cool! Alas, it showed up too late in the morning for us to see anything.
ReplyDeleteIt was cloudy here!
