This reminds me of the beginning of'Live! at the Kennedy Center' on CBS. I remember it being a big deal. Started in 1978. Always an opportunity to experience the greats that most of us would never get to see in concert. It's great fun to look back at them online. 40 years of honorees. Have you watched David Letterman's "My Next Guest Needs No Introduction" on Netflix? Former President Obama was his first guest.
Obama had great music events in White House. Going to miss the "Official Whit House Blues Band"
ReplyDeleteWe'll have to settle for Ted Nugent shooting flaming arrows into the draperey.
What class! We've fallen a long way since then.
ReplyDeleteGreat music too.
I really miss them.

ReplyDeleteHadn't heard that one. I appreciate a good trombone. The Pony used to play it in band. Not at that level, of course.
