Sincere congratulations to all my Democrat party friends from this old Republican. It was a hard fought battle but now it's over and we have a new president who hopefully we can all respect and support.
Thank you, AZ! (and PA, NV and maybe even GA!) Although the road ahead will still be extremely difficult, at least there will be a sane, logical person in the WH.
"We have to remember the purpose of our politics isn’t total, unrelenting, unending warfare. No. The purpose of our politics, the work of the nation, isn’t to fan the flames of conflict — but to solve problems. … We may be opponents, but we are not enemies. We are Americans." ---Joe Biden
Winning the war was "easy." Now we have to win the peace and govern. I'd like to think kicking the Orange Menace out of the White House will bring about a new spirit between the parties. But with only a few exceptions, most Republicans seem to be clinging to trump like engorged ticks on a pig.
Don't get me started on the radical elements of my party, like AOC, believing they have a blank check.

ReplyDeleteWhew, I haven't slept since Tuesday night. I had a nice breakfast, walked the dog and now I'm going to take a long nap.
ReplyDeleteThank heavens the better man really did win. Well done America.

Let's hope enough people agree.
This news made our day. We danced and sang and laughed and breathed a sigh of relief. Yes!
