My part of Arizona has had some odd weather this week.
This morning it's overcast once again but without the fog which shrouded us earlier.
For example this view of Glassford Hill, our iconic and extinct (hopefully) volcano.
Trust me, it's there, hidden by that low-hanging cloud.
Then a day later, I believe, these were the (non)-views in my neighborhood.
Kind of makes me want to re-write the lyrics to that old song, "San Francisco, open your golden gates, send all that fog right down to me."
Well, I love fog so it was okay with me.
I read a lot of Sherlock Holmes stories when I was a kid and it brings back (fictional) memories of dark doings afoot on the moors.
Those clouds do have a bright side though.
They make beautiful sunsets.
I like the fog too but only because of the sunsets. Several years back we had a very foggy December and it felt oppressive. Like living in a cave.
ReplyDeleteLately my brain is in a fog.
ReplyDeleteI'm not particularly fond of fog. I think I would like it so much more if it didn't blanket us persistently for days and days and days. Love the sunset there.

Welcome to wales
Those misty and foggy scenes create a cozy mood. Perfect for Sherlock or another mystery. And perhaps a wee dram too!
ReplyDeleteOkay, not to be an alarmist or anything, but if ever was a year for an 'extinct' volcano to rumble back to life, 2020 would be that year.
ReplyDeleteI love fog...we don't get it often, so it's special.
ReplyDeleteHa! Love the marijuana meme. Fog is nice when you don't have to drive in it. We get a lot of it here (obviously) and I'm always glad I don't have to be behind the wheel.
ReplyDeleteAnything deep fried is immediately better (why not weed?)!
ReplyDeleteThe fog does add a nice touch to things.
