I'm not posting the Friday Funnies this week. I don't feel funny. I feel sad about my country. Instead of laughing this weekend, join me in a few moments of meditation on the tragedy at the Emanuel African Methodist Episcopal Church in Charleston, South Carolina.
And then, perhaps it's time to start doing something to try and prevent the next one, otherwise there will be another one a few weeks down the road. Good post.
Like you, my heart feels heavy in light of this tragedy. Too many of these terrible situations are happening--a stupid thing for me to say since one is one too many.
Thanks. It is hard to think of anything else in Charleston. Tomorrow evening they are planning to line the entire Cooper River Bridge with people holding hands across the river. It won't change anything but it feels like something and brings people together in our sorrow.
With you all!
