The Weather Gods tell us it will be 95 today with the mercury steadily climbing day by day until topping out at 105 next Tuesday and Wednesday.
Now I know this is Arizona and we all here say "but it's a dry heat" but for my area, which is at around a 5,000 foot elevation, that is hot.
I'm just glad I moved back from Phoenix, where it is forecast to reach 121 by Tuesday.
And this is only June!
So with all that in mind let us start this week's edition of the Friday Funnies with this public service announcement from a cooler time.
So, with detente in the picture, we bid adieu to you.
Have an excruciatingly fine and cool weekend and always remember to keep laughing.
Here, kitty-kitty . . .
(Oh, come on, willya . . .)
I think I need to go eat something now.....
ReplyDeleteI look forward to your Fridays! Thanks!
ReplyDeleteI have often asked the same question as Mabel.
ReplyDeleteI love that last one!
ReplyDeleteRelatively cool here today. Wore my leather jacket because of rain, and never felt overheated.
Ha! Some questions only fools answer. :)
ReplyDeleteEven though retirees don't officially have weekends, your Friday Funnies always gets mine off to a great start. Stay cool
ReplyDeleteIt was 85 degrees when i went out on the deck earlier, and then a storm front blew in & it dropped 10 degrees. Mike was mowing at the time & I know he appreciated the drop in temp. Fortunately he finished before the rain came.
ReplyDeleteYou've always been a cool cat. You can handle the heat bud, so don't stay out of the kitchen.
ReplyDeleteHa! Funny, especially that last one. I hope you have a terrific Father's Day.
ReplyDeleteHeh, heh, the pajama pants! It's not just Walmart. We had to ban them at school, because the kids were showing up in them...AND slippers.
ReplyDeleteLove the cat. Yeah, been there. Seen more people like that.
ReplyDeleteI remember when we lived in Phoenix how one day we decided to escape the heat. So we headed to the mountains and when we got there it was 104. I don't ever remember 120 in Phoenix ... maybe out in the desert. I remember 112-115. I remember coming home from class at ASU at 10 PM and finding it was still 108. That's too hot for me, and dry heat is a myth! :) Enjoyed your post very much.
ReplyDeleteLOL...some good ones! Yes, this heat is gonna get crazy bad this week; already been 90 here, in moderate south orange county only 10 minutes from the beach!
ReplyDeleteSunday
ReplyDeleteJust looked at your temp....it's 30 degrees cooler here in Butte.
Anything tha brings a smile to peoples faces is fine by me.
ReplyDeleteHave a great week, stay cool, Gordon.
