HEADING EAST

When I was out this afternoon running some errands (masked) I found myself behind a vehicle with this statement in it's rear window:

Unmasked

Unmuzzled

Unvaccinated

Unafraid

I was having one of my imaginary conversations in my head, thinking I'll pull up alongside them and tell them I have another couple of U words for their sign:

Uninformed

Un-American

But you know, I don't like confrontations and those kind of people are usually armed so I just shook my head and let it go.

While I was out, I also encountered several rain showers and one sort of a hailstorm so I scurried home rather quickly.

This evening, some great sky shots in my neighborhood.

Tomorrow, the Weather Gods inform us, all of this will be moving on to the east of us and our mercury, which topped out today in the 50's, will be about 10 degrees higher.

And by Friday and Saturday, it will get into the mid 80's.

Arizona.

What a crazy place.

  1. Let's hope he's Un-der ground soon. Was that harsh of me?

  2. Not sure the masks do much, in Jersey everywhere I ever went every one has worn a mask and yet our numbers have never been very good. Still, a mask can't really hurt. Never wore it outside when not around people except when it was cold...I'll be using a gator next winter covid or not. The Shot is the way out of this. We will are or will soon be at herd immunity...some people just will not become part of the herd. Their right, their problem.

  3. Not the person you want to confront...
    Beautiful skies.
Masks worn properly protect people from you...what gets me are visors worn without a mask. They come from dentistry and are designed to keep other people's droplets off your mask....also worn tipped up so far they are useless.

I like the comment seen on a t shirt . If you can hear my cart, you are not socially distancing. If you can smell it, you are not wearing a mask. If you can't smell it, get tested!

  5. Amazing skies. Unfortunately someone like that tends to breed like rabbits and pass on their stupidity to another generation.

  6. I am an avid sky watcher/lover. these are fantastic. and we never run out of sky. You did the right thing just ignoring the signs. when i see someone in a store that has signs that say wear a mask without one, i wnat to say something but bite my tongue. i just don't get all this stuff that is going on and over such a small thing as a mask that saves lives. I want to take all of them and sit them down and force them to watch the world wide news, like India right now. most of the people I know that feel like this guy does do not watch the news

    1. Or watch the "news" that bears no appearance to reality.

  8. This whole anti-mask and anti-vaccine thing is so ridiculous. How did our society get so stupid? Fox News and Facebook played a big role. I heard yesterday that Tucker Carlson ranted that when people see parents with children who are wearing masks, they should call the police and report them for child abuse. And some people take that idiot seriously!
    Sorry for the rant!

  9. Beautiful skies there, the kind of day that would make me run outside every five minutes with my camera. Love it!
Crazy sign in that car. At least they're advertising their stupidity. I loved Jager's comment above.

  10. I enjoyed our rainy Monday, with nearly an inch of water on the garden. Friday will be 80˚ here as well.

May I add to the U list unctuous, uppity, unbearable, and uncivil?

  11. Ignorance is one thing, but trumpeting it to everyone and being proud of it? I'm shaking my head in disbelief. Unreal!

  12. My blood pressure would have gone through the roof when I saw that sign in the car!
