COME-UPPANCE

Some of you may remember the second part of a post I wrote recently.

You can find it here.

Well one of my regular contributors to the Humor Vault certainly remembered it and, just to rub my nose in it a bit more, he sent me the following comic strip this morning.

He added that he hoped lots of folks would also send me the clip.

Maybe this will forestall them!

Harrumph!

  1. I genuinely did once borrow a library book that was missing its last page. No chance of finding that camouflaged against the floor tiles.

  2. What could be better than being in a comic strip? And know that you weren't the only one who had that happen to?

  3. That's funny. I had a friend post a photo (on Facebook or blog) the other day of a puzzle she had completed. It was definitely completely done... and yet there was an extra piece. It made me think of you.

  4. I saw that cartoon this morning, and thought about you.

  5. Can't say that I have had a desecration. I hope those who do such a vile thing to tear into a book has karma.

  6. Heh, heh. Now I'm wishing you had found an extra piece in your puzzle. Oh, the guilt that might cause, to think that you were keeping somebody else from the joy of a completed puzzle.

  7. This nearly perfectly describes your situation, minus trashing the puzzle. :)

  8. Went back and read the post you referred to. Nothing worse than finishing a puzzle and being a piece short. Well I guess something worse could be eventually finding that missing piece followed by someone sending you a comic with a similar scenario that you had recently experienced. I got a good laugh out of it. Hope you eventually will :)
