THE FRIDAY FUNNIES

I was watching the weather channel yesterday with a little bit of suppressed glee.

It was showing snowstorms in Indianapolis; Columbus, Ohio; Little Rock; Oklahoma City and Dallas.

I sent an email to Easy Ed in Indy, where I once lived for a few years, saying I didn't miss that kind of snow at all.

Or the kind where his wife and I come from, in North Dakota.

But today I'll put my gloating aside and show you snow people how to enjoy the days.

After all, it's time for the weekly cartoons!

Those are the jokes, folks.

And a special thank you to L.L., aka Cross Town Lori, a native Michigander, for all those wonderful snowmen and women.

Now here's the message for this weekend: whether it's building your own snow people or sledding or skiing or snowball fights, get out there and enjoy yourself as best you can.

I'll be down here in Arizona basking in the . . . well, no, I'll be inside by the fire!

But always remember to keep laughing!

Here, kitty-kitty . . .

  1. Ha-ha! Great collection Mr Oddballs. And while you are down there in Arizona, please watch out for the cacti!

  2. We won't be laughing when we get that last blast of winter and the dreaded white stuff is on our ground! Loved the coal in the glass by the bed!

  4. I don't miss the snow and hope that our December blast was it for this season! I too am basking in front of the fire. 40 degrees and rain outside.

  5. LOL -- I love the cat in the last one. Even for the mid'70s, that guy's clothes are a bit extreme!

  6. These were great, but the dressing like the mid-70s was the best - hahaha!

  8. I'll bet it was too cold in No. Dakota to make snowmen.

  10. Love the snowmen, but "dress for the 70's" had me laughing out loud.

  11. Those are some of the most creative snowmen I've ever seen. I especially like that first one.

  12. These were really great. I'm sure my family in Michigan could have heard me laughing at "here's your ice coffee". Too funny! Good batch!
