A SPECIAL EDITION

Gentle Readers, you are reaping this week.

Today I'm bringing you a special bonus edition of The Friday Funnies.

You could call them The Sunday Snickers.

And since they're all about food that might be a great title.

You're getting them for two reasons.

Number one is because I am over the moon about the results from the mid-term election so far.

And Number two because one of my Faithful Purveyors . . let's call her Gleeful Gayle . . sent me a huge batch of memes this morning.

As I have often written here, you don't need to thank me for bringing you a constant stream of humor every week.

Compliment my suppliers who keep the Humor Bank/Banque full of comedy.

So with that, let's take a look at this collection I think of as "What's Eating You?"!!!

Have a fine rest of your weekend, friends!

  1. I too am over the moon. Your Kari Lake is a nut job, but we had Oz and Mastriano. I feel as if the country is stepping back from a very dangerous precipice, blinking a little, and for the first time in a decade saying, "These people are talking CRAZY..."

  2. What, no jokes about falling asleep in front of the TV at 9, going to bed, a nice deep sleep until 1 in the morning and then up the rest of the night?

  3. Those are hilarious! I've absolutely done the wrong burner thing. And YES - I'm so happy about the election results! There were some disappointments (looking at you NC, Texas, Georgia & Florida), but overall a good midterm.

  4. Love the test grape. Do it all the time! Once left a rotisserie chicken in the lower section of the grocery cart in the cart corral. Someone actually returned it.

  5. The giraffe/coffee one made me laugh!

  6. Just what I needed on a Sunday afternoon. They were good ones.

  7. These are so funny, just the kind of laughs I needed on Sunday morning. If I were cartoon-creative, I could have written all of these myself! LOL

I agree, the elections give us some hope.

  9. Oh, wow, the smoke alarm thing.

As for the potato masher, All Hail Anoia! (Goddess of Things that get Stuck in Drawers)

  11. Love these. And having worked in a supermarket I can attest that MANY people test the grapes. Some of them wander around shopping and eating, then at the checkout they hand over what's left of the grapes saying they've changed their minds and no longer want them.

  12. I love that smoke detector idea. When I was working in Chicago, I had a visit from some firemen when I couldn't get the detector reset. How embarrassing for me!

  13. At first you hinted that you are of a Democrat persuasion. I hope I am right. I always find it's good to test loose cashew nuts or almonds in supermarkets - even if I have no intention of buying.

  14. I too am delighted with the positive election results for democracy, sanity and rights for all. Woo hoo! I've done the burner thing SO many times; it's lucky I haven't been literally burned. The potato masher, yes. Also one of my cheese graters.
