The BIAD (Beautiful Impoverished Artist Daughter) has been working on a project that she has brought to fruition.
She says it is a pedestal that could be used for a gazing ball.
Or maybe a birdbath.
Or a sculpture.
Or whatever you want to display for you and the world to see.
At any rate, here it is.
She says she's thinking of calling it Unicorn Puke.
I think a nicer name might be appropriate.
Do you have one?
Tower of Babble. Would look great in a niche.
ReplyDeleteColumn of fragments of dreams.
ReplyDeleteI like Unicorn Puke to be honest. I think it's catchy. Or Unicorn Upchuck for alliterative value.
ReplyDeleteIt's beautiful, a work of mosaic dreams and magic.

ReplyDeletethecontemplativecat here. That is incredible. I cannot give it a name, it is too incredible.
ReplyDeleteI don't have a nicer name but I do like the sculpture very much. It looks a bit too tall and thin for a gazing ball though.
ReplyDeleteKaleidoscope seems an appropriate name, to me. It's lovely. Very colorful. Ranee (MN)
ReplyDeleteOoo I like it!
ReplyDeleteThe artist's choice of names made me laugh so I vote to keep that. Although I like several of the suggested other names, also.
ReplyDeleteLinda Sand
It looks like it's a bit top heavy. I do however like mosaic work.
ReplyDeleteUnicorn Puke is OK for the design pattern. I think its best use would be for a bird bath. Birds deserve artistic design and color.
ReplyDeleteYes I do have a better name - "The Lamp Stand".
ReplyDeleteUnicorn Puke kind of sounds like a good name for a death metal band.
ReplyDeleteIf your daughter is planning to attempt to sell this work….. I suspect she is on the mark with her suggestion of Unicorn Barf…… I think the name would encourage more folks to look at the piece who otherwise may simply gloss over or ignore a work simply because there are so many to see.
ReplyDeleteOverall, though, even if she used the name…. I think it is an attractive piece. IMO it would look best in an austere setting to allow it to shine.
I could not notice any grout in the piece. I presume it is there for durability though, and not just hot glue?
PipeTobacco
I love that! She really has an eye for color. Kaleidoscope seems like a good name, but the other suggestions are coming too.
