It's the seventh day of my wretched Countdown to Christmas and I have declined the suggestion of London based Steve Reed to announce the day in Icelandic rather than Italian.
I mean, how would you pronounce Sjöti Hluti anyway?
So we shall continue our language lessons from the land of pizza and pasta.
And, by the way, inject some holiday humor into your humdrum schedule.
Well, I'm glad you threw the Icelandic in there anyway, even if it's not the headline. :)
ReplyDeleteWhen the box can no longer be taped you know it's time to let it die a silent death.
ReplyDeleteThat gave me a laugh. You should see the box from my tree. Tape everywhere.
ReplyDeleteTruer words were never spoken (written?)
ReplyDeleteThanks for another belly laugh!

Rings of tape--LOL. You could always do a different language every day. That way we could enrich our vocabulary even more although I'm not too sure how helpful these expressions would be. I need to know, "A draft beer, please." in a multitude of languages. ;)
ReplyDeleteI did know that and last time I looked our tree box was almost entirely ringed with old duct tape.
ReplyDeleteThat's a great one!
ReplyDeleteI love that cartoon! Considering how much plastic falls off the artificial tree every year when it is being put up, I think a new one might be needed soon! No idea how old it is....maybe 30?
ReplyDeleteOn the seventh day of Christmas my true love gave to me
ReplyDeleteA battered cardboard box containing an artificial tree...
Not a problem for me.
ReplyDeleteHilarious
