Well here we are once again, POETS Day.
No, no, no, this is not an homage to Walt Whitman or Emily Dickinson.
POETS Day was invented by someone who got tired of saying TGIF at the end of every work week.
It stands for P--- On Everything, Tomorrow's Saturday!
I'll let you fill in the blanks.
Meanwhile I'LL fill in the blanks in your comedy curriculum.
Let's see if you laugh.
Doo-wop-ah-doo-wop-ah-sha-na-na . . .
Are we all singing along?
Maybe some of you are too young.
Oh, well, try at the very least to have the very best weekend.
And always remember to keep laughing!
Here, kitty-kitty . . .
( . . . doo-wop-ah-doo-wop . . . )
My music is on the oldies station. I was on the board of a non-profit and we were renewing the Executive DIrectors (ED) contract, reading through it there was a clause that he would not be responsible for bail money, the explanation, on his previous job, bailing out board members was the responsibility of the ED when they were having a convention.
ReplyDeleteI didn't get the hostess one. If you can be bothered, please explain.
ReplyDeleteThe applicant is a Hostess cookie. It's an American brand, may not be prevalent in the Mother Country.
DeleteSWMBO has just corrected me. That's a Hostess cupcake, not a cookie.
DeleteAnd like The Twinkie, the Hostess Cupcake's cousin, enough perservatives to last beyond your lifetime and some would say if you ate them would contribute to your demise.
DeleteThank you for the explanation and the warning about hostess cupcakes. I do not think I need them in my life.
DeleteThat little girl with the TP is ADORABLE.
ReplyDeleteI'm just waiting to hear the Rolling Stones as elevator music! Just makes me feel old!
ReplyDeleteThank you for these very good laughs this morning. Best way to start the day! (NewRobin13)
ReplyDeleteI love that first one, it's so sweet. That would be just my luck with the 3D printer.
ReplyDeleteLove the skunks! Thanks for the laughs as It has been an ugly week working on income tax returns.
ReplyDeleteOh yay, the Friday Funnies! I started laughing with the first one. My favorite, though, is the skunks. As for oldies...yeah, but on the plus side my grandkids love the Beatles and the old hard rock, so there's that. Still a little coolness left.
ReplyDeleteThe oldies station in my area has moved past my high school music and now plays tunes from 15-20 years past that.
ReplyDeleteThe first one is hilarious.
ReplyDeleteThese are great! All of them winners. The one with Le Penseur, LOL. No one is that philosophical on the toilet.
ReplyDeleteThese were winners, I'm passing them on. 😊
ReplyDeleteI laughed so much at each one I can't pick a favourite, so they all get a gold star.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the Hostess explanation....I doubt any of us Brits would get that!!
ReplyDeleteI know POETS day as P--- off early, tomorrow's Saturday!
I like the skunk joke.
That cat's expression is perfect.
