Wouldn't you love to own that car now? I had a 1964 Pontiac Tempest convertible. My dad bought it and let me use it as my car for my senior year in high school. Then, after that, I made payments to him to buy it so it was the first car I ever owned. I loved it and to this day, I'll occasionally have a dream where that car shows up.
You do look top 'o the world, Bruce. That was the same year we got a new Land Cruiser, drove it cross the US and back once, to Alaska twice before retiring it in '77.
Nice car, great smile!
ReplyDeleteThe same color as my 70 split bumper MGB, I did have the much-coveted wire wheels.

ReplyDeleteIf you've had reason to maintain a smug smile all these years, life is treating you well. :)
ReplyDeleteIn '64 I had a '58 MGA, man I loved that car. Years later I was drooling over an MGB...Never did get one.
ReplyDeleteAt least you had it for a while! ;-)
ReplyDeleteQuite a car!
ReplyDeleteEveryone should have a cool car once in their life. Not sure if it is more fun when you are young or when you are old.
ReplyDeleteHurray for smug smiles!
ReplyDeleteVROOM, VROOM!
ReplyDeleteSometimes you can have a love that you can't keep, but will always treasure in your heart.
