How long have we been doing this?
How long, O lord, how long?
It seems like forever to me.
But still it continues.
Every bloody Friday.
So what can I say.
Except.
LAUGH, darn you!
How long have we been doing this?
How long, O lord, how long?
It seems like forever to me.
But still it continues.
Every bloody Friday.
So what can I say.

LAUGH, darn you!
In the continuing fascinating saga of my rather strange family, I convey your attention now to the member known as The BRD, or Beautiful Rich Daughter.
While always beautiful and rich in talent, she has a particular oddity.
When she is dining, she does not like the various elements of her meal touching each other.
And so, today, she has found Her Perfect Solution.
Ta-da!
As I have noted on this site before, we are moving to a new home next month.
But the date and the movers and all those big and little details that have to be sorted out are still at least partially up in the air.
So while our minds are fixed on the move, there is little that can be done for awhile.
So the minds tend to wander . . . well, mindlessly.
That's all a preface to reportage on our tomato crop this year.
It's been scanty, with many tiny specimens.
But they're still tasty so we continue to harvest.
Which leads me to show you the following photo, taken on our countertop a few minutes ago.
They were arranged thusly by my Bridal Partner, aka SWMBO, who told me the photo should be captioned:
"Come, children, and meet your father!"
Now while the laughter dies down I have to tell you one more thing, in the interests of honesty.
Only the . . . uh . . . "children" . . . came from our tomato vines.
The other two Romas actually came from the grocery store.
But it makes a better story if you put the truth aside for a moment, doesn't it?
After that glorious day yesterday, how can I end the week?
With a song?
With a video?
With another picture of clouds?
Oh, wait.
I know.
With amusement, glee, laughter, mirth, merriment, gaiety, hilarity and high spirits.
In short . . . tomfoolery!
That's all, funsters and punsters.
Now take all that glee with you and have a marvelous weekend.
And always remember to keep laughing!
Oh, y'know I was gonna start this post with a song so . . . "You say tomato and I say toe-mah-toe" . .
Oh, never mind.
Here, kitty-kitty . . .
You may be remembering our pouting over the lack of blossoms on our Morning Glory vine a week or so ago.
Well, look at it this morning.
My wife, Judy, aka SWMBO (She Who Must Be Obeyed), is fond of snorting at my occasional fascination with numbers and strange dates.
Like February 2nd or February 22nd of this year.
You see, they can be illustrated as 2-2-22 or 2-22-22.
And I find that fascinating.
She . . . not so much.
But.
BUT, I say.
She just came to me with some numbers written on a piece of paper to remind her of something or other and said, "Look at this!"
I did and failed to see anything weird or strange or fascinating about it.
Here's my calendar page for the day.
I didn't see anything weird or strange or fascinating about it.
That is until she . . . (I did tell you her avatar on this blog is She Who Must Be Obeyed, didn't I?) . . . that is until she explained it to me.
See you can abbreviate the date to 8-22-22.
And if you add up all those 2's you come up with the date of the month preceding them.
Well, that IS fascinating.
At least to me, a guy who likes numbers.
(Thank you, ma'am.)
Here we are again, nearing the end of another week.
A week of courtrooms and continuing delusions.
And cookies.
Cookies are good, right?
And what else is good?
BACON!
So that's your anthology of antics for the week.
Now all of you have a wonderful weekend.
And always remember to KEEP LAUGHING!!!
Here, kitty-kitty . . .
( . . oh I hate it when they get together . . )
I wanted to take a couple of daylight pictures to show you our blue, blue sky and the glorious green on the savannah/meadow/flood-plain and on Glassford Hill in the distance.
This year's monsoon season has been one unlike any in my memory.
In a normal year, we get an occasional thunderstorm and a few random days of showers.
But this year it's been day after day and night after night of showers and thunderstorms for most of the past few weeks it seems.
The meadow and the hills resemble Ireland.
At least that's what this green-starved Arizonan is fond of saying this year.
And the skies . . the SKIES . . are something to behold.
Just moments ago I stepped out into a very light misty rain and snapped these pictures.
There was a rainbow earlier but that's just become "old hat" to me so I didn't think to take its photo.
I was just thinking, "After all that talk about lightning yesterday, maybe now IS the time to move!"
But let us ignore the scary stories today for today is FRIDAY!
And I think you all know what that means.
